1292.0. "LOVING HOME NEEDED FOR 2 YEAR OLD CAT(s)" by MANTIS::GIANCOLA (Donna Giancola) Fri Apr 22 1988 14:40
WANTED: A LOVING HOME FOR 1 OR 2 CATS
The cats are brother and sister. They are
approximately 2 years old and have never been let
outside (not to say they wouldn't like to be).
Their mother was an angora but we don't know what the
father was. They are both long-haired cats. They
have had all their shots and have always been together.
The female, Dutchess, is grey and white.
The male, Fox Water Hound, is tan and white.
These are not my cats. I am putting this note in
for friends in hopes that they may find a good home
for their cats. These people just had a baby and do
not have any time for the cats anymore and feel that
the cats are being neglected of love because their
time is going towards the baby now. They would like
to find a home that would take both cats if possible.
However, if they can find a home for each cat at the
approximate same time, then they would be willing to
do split them up also.
If you are interested or know of anyone who may be
interested, please call 562-7127 and ask for Herb or
Linda any time of the day or night. They can give
you more details about the cats.

| Are your friends maybe jumping the gun, because they're overwhelmed
by the time the new baby takes? Especially since the cats have
each other for company. Possibly in a few months when your friends
get a bit adjusted things will look different.

1292.2 | Jumping the Gun, who knows? | MANTIS::GIANCOLA | Donna Giancola | Fri Apr 22 1988 15:43 | 15 |
| I don't think they are jumping the gun. She has asked me several
times in the last 3 weeks if I know of anyone. I think part of
it is because they had a cat before that died and they replaced
that cat with 2 and they say that they are just not like the old
one. I also know that she is tired of the long hairs and keeping
the hairs away from the baby. Whatever the reason may be, I know
they don't want the cats any longer and they are going on vacation
in a couple of weeks and want to get rid of the cats before they
go on vacation. Sorry to say it, but I think they were looking
for a cat replacement instead of looking at it as a new cat(s).
No animal can be replaced; and expecting the same personality will
never work. They had their original cat for many years. I would
take the cats myself except that I have 5 birds and I know they
wouldn't get along (mother nature strikes again).

| Gee, hope they don't get tired of diaper changing!
