1290.2 | | DEVEL::MARSDEN | | Fri Apr 22 1988 09:24 | 12 |
| I adopted my beautiful "Missy" last summer from a New Hampshire
noter.
--- And am forever torn to add more (but am in a one bedroom
apartment at the moment).
What ever happed to the idea of a "cat club" -- I would be more
than willing to help develop/create/maintain some sort of
newsletter.

1290.6 | We should tell the National Enquirer | INDEBT::TAUBENFELD | Almighty SET | Fri Apr 22 1988 10:16 | 9 |
| Good question about the cat club. Someone sent a letter out to
frequent noters in the feline file asking if anyone had a copy of
the original letter sent out about the cat club. I didn't have
one but someone in my group did so I forwarded it on. The person
said thanks and that was the last I heard of it.
I guess it's a curse, those who start the DEC cat club shall disappear
from the face of the earth....

1290.7 | does indirectly count? | AIMHI::MCCURDY | | Fri Apr 22 1988 10:39 | 5 |
| Hmm.. I got Happy (Pookies new little sister) indirectly from this
file. Our own E.T introduced me to Happys former owner, and as the
saying goes it was love at first meowr...

1290.10 | cat club | VAXWRK::DUDLEY | | Fri Apr 22 1988 15:30 | 8 |
| RE: Cat Club
We didn't disappear but there was very little interest
received from the original letter. It did seem though
that quite a few people never got the letter. So per-
haps we should try assess the interest level again?

1290.12 | Alex-II, too! | GRECO::MORGAN | Doris Morgan DTN 223-9594 | Fri Apr 22 1988 23:06 | 3 |

I found him and posted a notice, hoping someone would adopt him.
I adopted him!!

1290.13 | Another threesome... | HELCAT::MASON | Explaining is not understanding | Sat Apr 23 1988 09:12 | 7 |

to this conference. Two different sources at two different times,
but from here nonetheless.
Thanks!

1290.14 | yet another | CHEFS::TUDORK | Isis & Tarot - the moggie mafia | Mon Apr 25 1988 06:24 | 12 |
| I placed Jennie through the file. It's very tempting to offer a
full time advertising service for the local shelters, but if I couldn't
place a cat I'd end up adopting it and I can't keep more than 2.
Anyway - Jennie is very happy with Lawson, we went to see her the
other night and she has settled in and has the household eating
out of her paw.
Another success for FELINE

1290.15 | Adopt-a-Charm | SWAT::COCHRANE | Been there,done that,what's next? | Mon Apr 25 1988 12:00 | 7 |
| Charm wandered into our lives thanks to Rob and Martha Spence,
and an ad in this notesfile.
Life would be so much duller without her, and Niniane wouldn't
be anywhere near as happy!!!

1290.17 | Alexandra the greatest, same way as Alex II ! | VAXWRK::SKALTSIS | Deb | Mon Apr 25 1988 17:13 | 9 |
| RE: .12
Doris, my Alex (a.k.a. Alexandra the Greatest) was adopted under
the exact same circumstances. I found her outside my office window,
posted a note (and naturally contacted all the dog officers and
vets in the area), and when she wasn't claimed within 2 weeks I
decided that that ment "finders-keepers".

1290.18 | 2 more adopted via this file | 58355::STRONACH | | Wed May 04 1988 13:45 | 5 |
| Robin had posted available pets from the Pelham Animal Shelter -- remember the
stink about the up and coming "murders" of the felines? Beau Beau and Boo Boo
were rescued by us and I know they know -- they are both sooooo lovable!!

1290.19 | Sterling Silver | 57915::HTAYLOR | Cat lovers are a special breed | Wed May 04 1988 13:49 | 8 |
| well, now that I think of it, Silver was adopted through this notes
file. I put a note in looking for a Korat breeder and I got the
name of Susan Millott. I contacted Susan and I bought Silver from
her.

1290.20 | I'M HERE | AIMHI::OFFEN | | Thu Jun 16 1988 14:01 | 10 |
| Black Thunder was of course adopted by me from another noter. I
was actually looking for a White Cat with a Black Streak and ended
up with a Pure Black Kitty.
DejaVu almost counts. she was on her way to the Derry Humane Society
when I adopted her.
Sandi (Lightning's, DejaVu's & Thunder's mom)

1290.21 | Koko was adopted through notes too! | NSG022::POIRIER | It's over already! | Thu Jun 16 1988 14:32 | 8 |
| Now I don't feel left out - I too now have a kitty adopted through
this notes file - Koko. I got her from Linda who posted a note
stating that her neighbors moved out and left behing a pregnant
cat! Now Mandy is no longer an only child - now I'll have two spoiled
kids.

1290.22 | Mr. Whiskers too... | SHRFAC::CARIBO | | Thu Jun 16 1988 14:59 | 16 |
| I guess that Mr. Whiskers (Whiskers or Whiskey for short) counts too!
Thanks to Pat Daley, I was put in touch with the Framingham Animal
Shelter, and adopted Whiskers. He has since adopted my husband
as his own!
Roo, is so happy that she has someone to chase around the house and
play tag with, since Bunnie (Manx) is really to sophisticated
for that!
Thanks to this note file and it's dedicated and caring noters for
the happiness brought into many of our homes, by adopting these
homeless friends.
