Someone had asked a few weeks ago if the Framingham Humane Society had any kittens. Well, the first batch of litters will be ready for adoption this Sunday. There are three 8-week old kittens,- right now I don't know their sex or colors. The following Sunday (April 24) another batch of kittens will be arriving - three males - all tigers. There are two 4-month old kittens named Sadie and Solomon who are to be adopted together (in case you are thinking about getting 2 at once). They are both gray and white (the female being more gray than white, and the male being more white than gray). They are really cute- and inseparable. There is also Chester who is about 7 months old. We have been told that he is would be a good entry for the HHP category in cat shows. His coloring is very unusual - white, w/dark black tiger patches. Then there is Mr. Whiskers. Good guy that he is. My favorite - can you tell??? He is still waiting for that special person to adopt him. There are others but these are a few of our youngsters. (Mr. W. isn't a kitten but I couldn't resist entering him just one-more-time) Oh, for a good home for him. The shelter is open on Sundays from 1-4, and on Thursday from 5-7. Directions can be found in note # 1156.4 . Pat

I want to add that all these kittens have had their shots, have been tested for FeLv (and tested negative) and will come with a spay/neuter certificate. | |||||

Unfortuantely the only phone the FAHS at this time is one for a hot line - i.e., for a hurt cat, abused animal, report of a lost pet, etc. - but these calls do not go into the animal shelter but rather to a person who handles the hot line. The best thing to do - if you can - is to go down to the shelter. I will be off-site next week but will try to enter into the notes file (from home) what the new arrivals look like. There are still kittens in foster homes as well as in the vets, who are not old enough to leave their mothers but when they are - I will enter their descriptions. There will be many more arrivals. But don't forget the older cats. Oftentimes, they make better pets for a working person. They won't get into trouble (playfully) while you are at work. And - you know what their personality will be like. |
