to work. Tequila is 9 pounds...a little devil and very active.
I always wondered...Why do you spell Cinamon with one N and not
two?...I always wondered because I was guilty of mispelling Tequila's
name when I first got her.

Peaches and Pansy went about 16-18#

Pumpkin (whose weight I misquoted elsewhere) went 26#!!!
Talk about Moose masquerading as cats.
These were all adults over 10 years, except for ditto, who was 2.
The current kittens, about four months old, are 2 and 4#.

but Bigfoot is a solid 14 (large-boned cat, no fat on him (really!))
and Loki is a more solid 15 (large-boned too, but unfortunately

Gonezo has always been the big one up until this last year when

hopefully next year Barney and Gonezo will be down to 15lbs and
Ben will get back to his normal 10lbs. I don't think I've ever

| Just had my four weighed in last night:
Kiwi 3 years 10 lbs
Weazy 2 years 14 lbs
Tigger 14 months 9 lbs
Hitla 14 months 10 lbs
My vet said that 14 lbs for Weazy (neutered male) wasn't too bad,
as long as I don't let him get any heavier. He seems to me to be
mostly muscle and large frame. He must be eating more dry at night
because he's not usually a glutten at regular feeding times.

| Re .20,
As an aside, what did inspire those of you with Kiwis to give your
cats this wonderful name? I ask because I am a New Zealander (in
New Zealand, even!), and our name for ourselves (i.e. New Zealanders)
is Kiwi. For those who don't know, the Kiwi is the national symbol
of New Zealand. It is a flightless, nocturnal bird.
On the main subject, Kimi is about 4.5 kg, and Sura about 4 kg (we
are metric in this part of the world). For those of you still living
with Imperial measurements, thats about 10 lbs and 9 lbs respectively.
They seem to be smaller than a lot of other cats around, though
I have been told that Kimi is large for an Abyssinian, and he has
been taken for a stud at cat show (they are both neuters, both aged
4 years; Sura is a Burmese). Neither of them carry any fat.

Re .24,
And where do you think the fruit got its name from??
Kiwifruit (we call them kiwifruit as opposed to just kiwi, to avoid
confusion with the bird and the people) COME from New Zealand, or
at least the best ones do! Other countries (USA included) now grow
some of their own, but the best, largest, nicest etc are exported
from NEw Zealand, the home of all types of kiwi.

Anyhow, Honey The Himmy has weighed exactly 11 pounds for the

.0000002 pounds of brain).
And Honey loves kiwifruit...

| This is such a great note - I am having fun reading it - everyones
cats' names and how big - or small - they are.
My cat family consists of:
Francis 17 lbs @ 5 years
Houdini 15 lbs @ 3 years
Daisy 10 lbs @ 7 years
PC 10 lbs @ 4 years
Jennifer 9 lbs @ 2 years
Murphy 8 lbs @ 3 years
Dory 8 lbs @ 1 year (but is still growing)
My biggest cat, Francis, was 7 lbs last year (January '87) when
I found him. He gained 10 this past year and is maintaining at
a little over 17 pounds. He's not fat though.

Amelia 11 lbs 2 years old
They've been on Hills R/D for less than a week and they've already
showed a loss. By my non-scientific method of weighing myself on
the bathroom scale, then picking up the cat and weighing us both
it seems as if they've lost a pound. Since my electronic scale
only weighs even pounds and no ounces its hard to say how much has
actually been lost. I have to admit though, since the R/D came
into their lives they actually look slimmer. Amelia doesn't really
look pregnant any more. Of course, the drawback to this is that
I'm cleaning out the litter box much more often.

Milo at 7 mos ==> 7.4 lbs
Maggie is the larger cat at this point even with the lesser weight.
She is both taller and longer, but she is very fine-boned. While
her glorious long fluffy fur makes her appear more plump than she
is, she doesn't look at all chubby.
Milo is long and lean and densely packed. His neck is beginning
to compare with what one would expect of a middle-linebacker for
the Vikings. That is, however, the only large part of this cat.

Not an ounce of fat on him, just a BIG cat. We guess his age to
be approx. 14 yrs but have no way of knowing as he was dropped off

he is a big ball of fur who thinks my only purpose in life is to
feed him and pet him (not necessarily in that order). What a love
he is. Although he is getting up in years, he still looks and behaves
like a kitten.
