| RE: 1.
I hear and feel what you are saying. But it is a fact of life,
pets are VERY dispensable. Some of us have the feeling that acquiring
a pet is a life-long committment and you had better think long and
hard before taking a "child" in. Other's do not share that philoshopy
and that's human nature. However we will never be able to change
a lot of mindsets on that issue so the best we can try to do is
encourage our fellow noters not to be afraid to let us know when
a pet needs a new home for whatever reason. The pet will be going
anyway and just maybe we can find a home right in here so the transi-
tion can be so much smoother and happier then the other alternatives.

| I tried the Barn Manager Wanted note, but the position had already
been filled.
I believe in responsible pet ownership. Unfortunately, I also believe
in continuing the institution of marriage. I feel bad enough already
having to give the cat away. Like I said, she's sweet and I have
always loved cats.
The male has been neuteured (sp?) and the female will be spayed.
They are currently indoor cats, but they want to play outside.
I need to place the female, definitely. I would be happy placing
both in a good home.
This is a desperate plea.

| Jeff,
There is someone that will be getting in contact with you
sometime soon. They are looking for a little sister for their little
boy :^). No guarantees I just thought I'd let you know in case
the desperate is getting more desperate.... Sorry to hear this was
putting a strain on your homelife. I understand that only too well.
Have a nice day :^)

1181.6 | Don't delay spaying her | TOKLAS::FELDMAN | PDS, our next success | Mon Mar 21 1988 18:35 | 8 |
| If you still haven't placed the cat, you should get her spayed while
you keep trying. One year old is old enough. A spayed cat is probably
easier to place. And finally, she might just quiet down enough
for you and your wife to reconsider. (Then again, she might not.
But since you were planning on spaying her anyway, it's silly to
put it off.)

1181.7 | She's spayed now | REORG::WEBB | | Tue Mar 22 1988 12:17 | 6 |
| I took your advice for the reasons suggested. She is not not only
cute, but also spayed, vaccinated, etc. Her and her brother are
doing better in our new home (when it's cold they stay in the basement,
during the day in warm weather they are outside). I would still
like to place her, though I am not desperate now (owing to relative
domestic tranquility).
