My cat, the one with the dirty ears, jumps up into my hanging spider plant and goes to sleep in it. He has to jump up about 2 feet and then loves to swing himself to sleep. How can I keep him from sleeping in the hanging plants? Arnie

Maybe make him a hanging hammock of his own - one where he can be more comfy and less dirty from plant dirt. I'm sure he will get the message and use it! A 3-tier perch may also help - he seems to like to be high off the floor! E.T

Arnie, Since your cat likes to be up high and swing, why not really make him a hanging cat bed? It should be a simple and inexpensive proposition. I think it a great idea! Your cat would be happy, your plants would be healthy, and you will have plenty of party conversation! Why try to change something he enjoys? Just adjust to it!!! -- Elizabeth

I have many different types of plants in my home, and my kitty sleeps in my spider plant, no others. I wonder if they are just attracted to that type plant. |
