Yesterday my girl friend shared with me a great cat story. While
her brother and sister-in-law have been out of town she has been
cat sitting. The other day, the cat wanting some attention, curled
up on y friend's lap while she was watching tv. The program was
a PBS nature show that had bears in it. The cat, believing the bear
was in the room, began to get into attack mode. Shw was just about
to pounce, when my girl friend switched the station. Well the poor
cat was totally confused, looking around for the bear. It certainly
gave my girl friend a great laugh.

Frederick does that as well. We were watching a wildlife programme
about birds. Fred was curled up asleep, dreaming of imaginary mouse
hunts etc, when he suddenly awoke and chirruped irritated. Flicking
his tail, he rushed to the TV and stared intensely at it. The bird
noises continued and Fred got most upset cos he couldn't work out
why the damn birds hadn't flown off while he, macho puss, was so
close to them. He even started to paw the set while still making
these chirruping noises.
It was so cute, I had to shove a cushion in my mouth to stop laughing.
