I wish I knew of a kitten or two for you to adopt. You sound like
the perfect home! How about trying Bosler Humane Society in Barre,
MA?
Or the Pepperell Humane Society, Pepperell, MA?
If you looked them up and called, they would tell you if they had
kittens available.
Sorry about your loss and I hope you can find "babies" soon.

| Found my kitties!!!
Thanks to all who responded. This is a remarkable medium, and a remarkable
group of people. Cats bring out something special.
Got them (1 black, 1 orange - seven weeks old) from:
Bosler Humane Society
Barre, MA
Thanks to Holly, we are not 'childless' any more.
Love you all,
Gary

| These kind of notes are so heart-touching! I just got a new cat
out of this notesfile, and I whole-heartedly agree with your statement
about this being a wonderful medium. In fact, I live in Burlington,
VT and went all the way to Boxboro to get her. I wish my other
cat was as happy as I am, but in time...

1108.6 | Oh no, not another one... | BELKER::MASON | Explaining is not understanding | Fri Mar 04 1988 18:42 | 10 |
| Well, the two kids are getting along famously. In fact, they do
EVERYTHING together - eat, play, sleep (with us, of course), tear
the place up, ... They do SO much together that we started thinking
about what will happen when one of them departs. Bad news - we
have decided that to alleviate that mental anguish for us and them.
We will be in the market for a third soon. This is a lot like Topsy!
I surely forgot how kittens could be...

| If you are thinking of another cat, I have found an abandoned one
that could use a good home. See note 1176.
Thanks

Well... We got the third one today! From Framingham - sorry none
of the noters were there. The litter advertised for pickup today
numbered four. We were there AT 1300, and two were already spoken
for. We got the one we wanted anyway. There is one orange fella left.
Introducing Sadie (nee Peaches). A tricolor (white-brown-black),
with four large-economy-sized feet. Each front has a full sized
toe and tiny outriggers on each side where the dewclaw should be.
The rears have five full toes each. She has small black markings
at the sides of her lower jaw which make her look like she is
perpetually frowning. No purrs yet, but she was the shy one of
the litter, so we'll give her another twenty minutes.
I would like to add my words of support to all the others who have
praised this facility. The folks are friendly, and obviously dedicated
to the little ones (and not so little ones). We live in Milford,
NH, but will be thinking of a way to support them if we can.
Now I'm off to read all those notes about introducing new members
to the family. Max and Lucy have the quietest hisses I ever heard...

| Unfortunately, it didn't work out.
The name, that is...the kitten is GREAT!
Considering the permanent frown, and her resultant resemblance to
Emmett Kelley, we have renamed her Emma. In and of itself, the
name fits her better. That's three names in three days - hope she
can keep them straight.
Integration is becoming interesting. Max is already licking her
ears (with a paw firmly planted around her neck). Lucy is still
growling. Max hisses once in a while, but no harm, no foul. I
expect that all will be roses after a few more days.
Thanks again to the Framingham folks.

1108.10 | Bad news - Good news | HABS11::MASON | Explaining is not understanding | Fri Oct 11 1991 18:04 | 26 |
| I know there is an introductions note, but this one has our sagas, so I
will continue here.
Sad to say that we lost Emma, my wife's favorite, to sudden and severe
liver failure and possible cancer last week
We decided to get another quickly, and I entered a note in here. The
same day we retrieved Nikki, another tricolor, from Kitty Angels. The
lead was based upon a mail response from here.
So far, we have found new kids from Bosler, Framingham, and KA. The
notable exception is Katie, signed up for at one of the early Feliners
dinners - thanks a lot, Mary. So, this conference has accounted for
the last five of our charges. Not bad.
Max, Lucy, Katie, and Nikki are all doing well. Thanks again.
I never get to visit here unless I am looking for another pal. You are
still doing a great job.
Cheers...Gary
P.S. I would recommend Kitty Angels to ANYONE looking for a cat. They
are well cared for, and the healthiest bunch I have ever seen in such a
large population. There were twenty I would like to have adopted,
but...
