1097.0. "Black MANX cat, lost in Maynard." by GLINKA::OSHEA () Thu Feb 04 1988 09:49

A good friend of mine has lost a cat so I wanted to post a note
to ask any of you cat lovers working or living in the Maynard area
to be on the lookout for him.

It's a black MANX cat with a white spot on his chest, a stubby tail
and a flea collar. He answers to MAX. He lived in Maynard on Main
Street but he has been gone since last October. My friend has been
handing out descriptions, talking to people and posting signs since
the really cold weather has hit. MAX has been seen at the Great
Road Dodge several weeks ago and again last Friday in the woods
of the Maynard Upper Thompson Street parking lot. She knows he's
alive, at least, and he is somewhere in the vicinity of the Mill
    and Route 117.

Any information people could provide that would help us locate MAX
would be greatly appreciated. Since he has been seen outside and
on the loose we're pretty sure that he has not been taken in by
anyone so he must be very hungry, tired and cold. His family really
misses him and they are offering a reward to anyone giving them
information that leads to his return.

IF YOU SEE HIM, PLEASE CALL 897-7138.

    Thanks for your help,

    Erin

Sweetie and Holly send their thoughts to Max. Please keep us informed.
(Your friend and especially anyone the cat knows might getup a search
party in the areas where the cat has been seen, but probably you've already
    done that.)

I just spoke with Paula, the woman who's been searching for
Max. The last reported sighting was the one near Thompson
Street. Paula would like to distribute flyers to the
neighborhoods surrounding this area. Anyone who's done
this knows what a time-consuming task this is. I am meeting
Paula tomorrow at lunch time at the Mill, and will dis-
tribute what I can during lunch. I'd like to continue the
distributions after work too if possible.

If anyone would like to help with the distribution at any time
over the next few days, contact me at DTN 223-7978 or
VAXWRK::DUDLEY, or contact Paula at 897-7138. Any help would
    be greately appreciated.

Max is out there, we've got to find him.
