What started out as a tragedy has turned into good fortune for one little fuzz face... Two weeks ago my neighbors moved out (thats the good news...) the bad news is that they left behind their 6 month old orange & white kitten (if only I could find them, I'd really let them have it!!) He showed up at my door last Friday night. Realizing what had happened, I took him in and let him spend the night. I called my vet the next morning and told them the situation. They asked if I could keep him over the weekend and that they might have someone who would adopt him ..... Well, I dropped him off this morning to get neutered (I agreed to pay if they found someone to adopt him) and he goes to his new home tomorrow! Hurray for kitty!!!!

That's really wonderful that you are such a caring person and you have a vet who cared enough to help. Keep up the good work. -- Elizabeth, Jingle's Mom | |||||

That's GREAT! Good for you--this is the kind of note I LOVE to see in here--success stories! Bet he'll (she'll??) be one happy kitty now. That's close to the way I got my Billie. I used to do my laundry at the same place each Sat., and one day when I went in (picture this--the place was located in the middle of a busy intersection, AND that day was a "dark and stormy" one), there was this cute little cat (later found out she was around 8 months old) at the door. I reached down to pat her, and she stretched her head up to me and purred LOUDLY. She was so cute I just had to pick her up and cuddle her--so when I walked in; cat and laundry in tow, I asked the owner of the laundramat if she knew if the cat belonged to anyone. She didn't, so I looked at the cat and said, "You know, this is really no place for you," and took her home with me. We made two stops--one to place a "Found" ad in the local newspaper, and one to pick up catfood, a litterbox, litter, and a catnip mouse. After 24 hours of taking her home, I loved her so much I couldn't bear the thought of anyone claiming her. But no one ever did, and I've never been sorry! Best laundry day I ever had! Jane |
