| My Aby Toastie has a funny habit. She likes nothing better than
to lie on her back in a soft chair and hang her head and sholders
backwards off the edge of the seat. She then has a full panoramic
view of the room *upside-down*, and her front paws are stretched
upward and outward at an odd looking angle. Sometimes she falls
asleep this way and when she's half asleep she'll start to stretch
and before she realizes it - she falls off the chair head first
(and upside-down)! WELLLLL, a woman to whom I sold one of Toasties
kittens sent me a picture of him (wow! is he beautiful!) doing the
very same trick off the edge of their sofa. I got a big laugh out of
it. The woman also indicated that her cat often will fall off the
sofa while asleep that way.

| When breeding I did noticed that indeed some things were from
the genes-voices in particular. I also noticed that kittens
did mimic their moms(and sometimes dad when he was around).
I have two boys from the same litter and they share many of the
same traits but very different personalites. Hard to decide which
is learned and which is truly gentic.

| Witch has always played soccer with me using a plastic golf ball.
Witch didn't play with her kittens (too exhausted). Her daughter,
Banshee, has "inherited" the soccer habit. When I'm shaving, I'll
feel a golf ball hit my foot. When I kick it back toward Banshee,
she'll catch it and send it back toward my feet. This game goes
on until I get tired of it.
She has inherited her father's love of tummy rubs.

| Yes, yes, yes! All three kittens have taken on some of the traits
of Mom/Dad. Some kittens have taken more from Mom, some have taken
more from Dad. And this is all while they keep their own individual
personalities.
The funniest thing is to see Sly (Dad) sitting in his "tank"
position -- front legs curved in and tucked against his chest, back
legs totally under his belly -- with Paws (daughter) sitting next
to him, in exactly the same position.

| I have my own male Birman now and I have noticed that he keeps his
tail moving even when he is asleep. At first I thought that he
was agitated or something because he never would stop moving his
tail. I talked to his breeder and she says his father is like that.
Last month I went to Salt Lake City for a show and ran into a half
sister of Kalliste. She didn't stop twitching her tail all weekend!
