Cricket doesn't sleep in the sink, but if you turn the water
on to just a trickle, she will play with it for hours. She tries
to bite it, and catch it with her paw, always managing to get drenched
in the process. If the water slows to a drip, she will try to catch
every single drip, or she'll look down the drain to see where the
water goes and end up getting dripped on the back of her head. It's
pretty cute to watch, but Rosie (the other cat) thinks she's crazy....

991.2 | In the tub | FIDDLE::HTAYLOR | Fight malnutrition, GIMME CHOCOLATE! | Tue Dec 29 1987 14:17 | 17 |
| Tabbatha and Silver just found the Tub today. I was in the bathroom
getting ready for work and Tabbatha came strolling in like she
normally does. She spotted the Tub and decided to investigate. She
jumped up on the side and thought it looked pretty interesting, so
she jumped in. She got her paw a bit wet but didn't mind too much,
she just shook it dry. She was playing with the soap and the drain
and having a great time! Then she decided that Silver shouldn't miss
out on this. She went to go and get silver and a few minutes later,
both of them were in the bathroom with me. Tabbatha was in the
tub looking at Silver and Silver just had her paws up on the edge.
she wasn't quite sure whether she should get in or not. She finally
decided that she shouldn't and just walked away. Tabbatha got up
on the edge of the tub and just looked at her as if to say, "Hey,
Where are you going? Ya wanna play?" and she jumped down and ran
after Silver. They looked so CUTE!!

991.3 | How much is that Himmy in the bathtub? | CLUSTA::TAMIR | To a cat, all things belong to cats | Wed Dec 30 1987 08:58 | 14 |
| When Honey, my 5-year-old Himmy was smaller, he used to sleep in
the bathroom sink. Chauncey also did, and occasionally still does.
But now that it's gotten colder, both prefer the down comforter.
Two of my nephew-cats (both Himmies) also have a 'thing' for the
sink, and the tub!
Maybe it has something to do with Himalayan genes....
Mary
P.S. Speaking of their genes...a friend once told me (referring
to her own seal point) "God realized He forgot to put the brains
in, so He made the ears brown".

| The bathroom sink is Corkie's favorite place in the summer. She
seems to love the coolness of the marble. She knows when the weather
is getting cold though and then takes up the place in front of the
fireplace. There was one time that I thought the apartment people
had let her out cause she didn't greet me at the door one day and
I called and looked and called and no Corkie. Just when I was fixin
to get hysterical I went into the bathroom, and there was my baby,
lookin as sweet as you please, laying in the sink. Cracked me up!

"C.P." does not sleep or play in the sink but tends to sink his teeth
into my pubic hair and give a tug while I am shaving after my shower.
He also likes to stay between the inner and outer shower curtain
while I am showering. I won't go into details about his behaviour
when I use the toilet (use your imagination). He won't let me close
the door and keep him out (Typical Siamese howling) so I tolerate
his antics.
"C.P." stands for "CAT PERSON" mostly Siamese part Himmy" Furr Face
Extrordinare!!!

| Lightning likes to play and drink from the faucet in the bathroom
sink. Deja just likes to lay curled up in the sink looking adorable.
Deja also has found the tub. She likes to attack me from between
the shower curtains.
Aren't cats the most adorable, loving, amusing animals in the whole
world?.

| An apartment I once had, had an old fashioned bathtub (the kind
with the feet). Well, Schnitzel loved to sit on the edge while
I took a bath, then watch the water drain out. After I rinsed out
the tub, Schnitz would slide down the side, sit there with a grin
on her face, jump out and do it all over again!! This morning she
was wandering around the shower, turned and looked at me as if to
say "I liked the bathtub better!".

| A friend has a cat that plays with the water a lot too. He likes
to let it drip on his head mostly, but will play for hours with it.
My cat will only drink from the bathroom sink. She has her own
water bowl of course but doesn't use it. She doesn't like the tub
much because too much water comes out of the faucet. I once caught
her taking a leak in the bathroom sink when I first got her. To
my knowledge this bad habbit has been dropped.
