982.0. "California Kitty" by 31097::SAUTA () Tue Dec 22 1987 13:33

    Hi,

I have a friend in the office who's looking for a kitten. He's
tried the humane shelters in the areas, and there are none for the
moment. We're in the Santa Clara, CA office, so all those beautiful
kittens on the East Coast are out.

He's not fussy about the appearance and would mildly favor a female.
He lives in a good-sized house in a quiet neighborhood. He's married
with 2 kids. The kitten will be a post-Christmas present, i.e.
kitty will stay at grandparents until the Christmas rush is over,
then be brought into their home.

If you have a west coast kitty who needs a home, give me a call
at DTN 521-6712 or send mail to CANVAS::SAUTA.

    Thanks,

    Lynne

Has he tried the Peninsula Humane Society? It's a bit far north
for Santa Clara, but they always have many cats, unfortunately.
He could call first and see if they have any kittens. They stop
adoptions for a few days before Christmas, because they were having
so many cats returned by people who got them as Christmas presents
and didn't want them, so he should check about that too. He might
also check with Carol Peters (decwse::peters). She adopted a kitten
a couple of weeks ago, and I remember her saying she'd had to do
some looking to find a litter, so perhaps there are some left from
wherever she got Baba. Or, how about an older cat?
