    Holly really doesn't like to use the litterbox to urinate.  The bathtub
    is usually her place of choice.  Since she has excellent aim for
    the drain, I figured so what.  (She's been checked for physical
    problems and loved to pieces.)  Sometimes if the bathtub is not
    available, however, she uses a corner of the dining room on the nice
    smooth floor.  I got a second litterbox and left it empty in
    case the smooth surface was the attractant.  She'd use it maybe
    once a week.  Then lately, I've started keeping a pile of newspapers
    for recycling on the kitchen floor, and (you guessed it).  So, I
    put some newspaper in the empty box yesterday morning (not shredded up,
    just a section plunked in), and bingo!  So, I'm passing this story
    along in case someone else has a pussycat who's interested in the
    New York Times.
