900.1 | Could phone co. in CA help? | SQM::MURPHY | Is it Friday yet? | Tue Nov 17 1987 09:36 | 5 |
| What about calling the Torrance, CA phone company to see if the
people who moved gave a new # to reach them at?
Just a thought!

Possibly even the Torrance Post Office could give a forwarding address
to write to?

900.3 | a few suggestions | BUSY::MAXMIS11 | | Tue Nov 17 1987 10:02 | 12 |
| Try an old Torrance phone book. Find out the old address from that.
Then ask some of the old neighbors in the old Torrance neighborhood.
They'd probably know at least where the people moved to. If no
neighbor can be located, you at least know how the cat owners might
be listed locally.
Another thought could be that these people lost their kitty on
vacation or while they were moveing to Maine or something, so they
might not be local to Framingham.

for a famiely with the last name listed on the tags? it might be
helpfull to ask them to check new listings.

| Goods news - I just called with the lady from the Humane Society
and she said she had the owner of Brutus in her livingroom right
at that moment. He had responded to an article in last night's Middlesex
News, and when I asked if she were quite certain he was the owner
she replied "Yes". She said she would call me back this afternoon
to give me the details of the story of this particular cat, as well
as how she was sure of his ownership. I'll pass on the story through
the notes. Also, she asked that I extend her thanks to you all for
your interest.
So it looks as if we have a happy ending here.
