| Maybe you should get watson to help find it:-). this note gave me
a chuckle. Does Sherlock have a cat door so he can go in and out
as he pleases? Maybe he took it outside. Is it maybe behind a drape
that covers that window? Anyway Good luck.

| I love this one. No chance of tracking it by looking for small
pieces of dirt on the floor? This reminds me of the game my indoor
cats play: hid where Mom can't find us, just until she becomes
hysterically convinced we've somehow gotten outside and are lost,
then casually walk out into the open.

| Once a week or so, Sulkitt removes my watch from my dresser. I
go without for a day or two, until she returns it to me in her mouth
while I'm watching TV. I still don't know where she hides it in
the meantime...

| RE .1 - No cat door and no drapes, curtains, or blinds behind which
he could have hidden it.
RE .2 - The only dirt on the floor was in the immediate area of
the plant. No dirt anywhere else in the house!
By the way, we did ask Watson, but he just smiles! (Watson is
Sherlock's Teddy Bear.)

My Abys do that to me all the time!!! And, as you said, once they're
convinced we're in a semi-hysterical, near comatose state from worrying
they simply *appear* in the room.
I LOVE 'um anyway!!

when you get home from work today!

and is trying to blame it on the cats. What some wives will stoop
to! :-)

| Re .6 - If I do find it in the middle of the floor, I'll know for
sure that Sherlock had nothing to do with its disappearance! He's
been at the vet's since yesterday morning being "fixed", and we
aren't picking him up until tonight.
Re .7 - What can I say?!? :-)

This also reminds me of the time when we had company from Venezuela
stay with us for a few days. My husband and I had to leave to go
to work before the guests drove to their next vacation spot. We
told them to just make sure they don't let Selina out when they
leave. Selina pulled a stunt on them. She *disappeared* when they
were ready to leave. They looked and looked for her. Selina put
them an hour behind on their schedule until she came out from hiding
prancing around like "ha ha the jokes on you".
What a trip!!

| I found the pot this past Saturday! It was behind my philodendron
(which is in a large redwood pot on the floor). It just appeared.
I know it was not there before because both my husband and I had
looked behind the plant several times (not to mention caring for
the philodendron and vacuuming behind it several times).
Guess I'll never know where it went or why it chose to reappear
behind Irving (the philodendron).

816.13 | Mark that spot!!! | BAGELS::ALLEN | | Wed Nov 11 1987 11:36 | 18 |

You may have stumbled upon something! Perhaps behind the philodendron
is where your cats escape to the "other" dimension! Keep an eye
on it! The pot may have fallen back through the portal accidentally.
I am dying to find the spot where my cats enter and exit their "other"
dimension. So many times I have come so close! When I am looking for
them, and they suddenly appear where no cat had been standing prior to
their appearance. It's so frustrating, they always appear when you
turn your back for just ONE instant!!! They're so good at making
themselves look innocent and bored about the whole thing, too.
There must be several toys that they have taken there and left,
or perhaps given away... Who knows with cats?

| I wish I could find my two Kitties dimension. They
have hidden mascara, eye liner, a couple of towels,
and a check I had received for my Birthday. I think
they go out on the town when I am gone ;^> !!!

there is another possibility: does the spot seem cold when you approach
it? :-)
