Gary,
How about the kittens in my "It Must Be The Kitten Season" note?
Double the fun and love, and they are adorable.

| If they're still available after the house is made kitten-safe,
I'd certainly be interested. Right now there are too many boxes,
especially kitchen supplies, that make the house too dangerous for
kittens. It will probably be the beginning of November before the
house is ready, and possibly much later.
Are they long-haired or short-haired?

Gary,
The kittens are closer to the short-haired variety, but they have
a fairly think under-coat like long-hairs do, and they are a bit
fuzzy. Oh yes, I almost forgot, the black and white one has a
white muzzle with a spot of black under her nose that looks like
a mustache!

| When is kitten season?
When I lived in Texas it was year-round. Here in New Hampshire,
it is NOT Thanksgiving to Easter. I guess kitties don't feel too
amourous with snow on the ground. I would also guess that aside
from breeders, most responsible cat owners have taken measures to
inhibit reproduction.
My husband would rather I didn't go to the shelter in search of
my 'dust kitten' as the last time I did this I came home with a
dog, a puppy, and three kittens. [It must be the "sucker" spelled
out in freckles across my forehead]. We're down to only the one
cat now -- twelve year old Maggie -- and my thirteen year quest
for the perfect dust kitten still goes on.
[just in case you know of one: my perfect 'dust kitten' is a grey
longish-hair, female. no preference on markings. my problem is
most of the greys I hear of are short hairs]
[just so you'll know I'm not a snob: my 'take' from my last visit
to the shelter: 1 adult male shepard/golden mix; 1 puppy male
malemute/sheltie mix; 2 short-hair female black & white kittens;
1 long-hair female orange female]
