Nutmeg is a 1 and 1/2 year old spayed female with a very beautiful coat. She has become a real sweetheart: taught herself (and me!) to play "fetch" and in addition to bringing her favorite toy, she will deposit in front of me whatever the day's catch is. That ranges from a proudly delivered dead leaf from a living room plant to a real prize -- an occasional fly (alas for Nutmeg, we have no mice). She seems to know that the fly is "real game" because her hunting cry/growl is especially agitated until I tell her what a good hunter she is and "accept" delivery of the "gift." She also much prefers to sleep on a people bed (better if occupied by people!) than any of the various cat beds/perches available for her. I think Nutmeg would be happiest as an "only cat." Nutmeg lives in Cambridge.

Nutmeg has a new home, and according to several phone calls [with new owner, not Nutmeg ;-) ], she has adjusted very well. She and her person are the only occupants of the house, and they have lots of time for each other! I'll be sure to post here in FELINE any kittens or older cats who are available. Call me if you want me to keep your name and call you when there is another in need of a home: DTN 223-7322 home 617-492-6262 Penelope |
