    Dear Friends,

    I am looking for a home for a family of cats consisting of a
    mother and two kittens. I have been feeding the mother, who was a stray,
    for a year and a half. She is mostly black with a white chest and white
    whiskers and yellow eyes; she is not big and is very tactful. She has
    been abused a lot, so she is very timid, and it will take a while and
    a lot of tender loving care to bring her around. About ten days ago she
    showed up on my back porch with her two kittens - a fluffy silver gray
    with darker gray stripes and a not-so-fluffy black one. I managed to
    catch them all and now they are living in my basement, very
    comfortably, but temporarily, because I already have three cats of 
    my own. The kittens are potty-trained and eat regular cat food - they 
    are about 8 weeks old and ready to go. I have been taiming them, so now
    they are at the point when they climb all over me when I sit on the floor
    but are afraid of large moving objects, like my arm or leg (but not my
    toes, which they chew on gladly). They are very playful and curious
    and seem to be in perfect health.
