| Sandra,
If you can get up to the Seacoast show in Manchester (Note 687),
you will find several Siamese breeders. Seacoast has mostly short-hair
breeders (I'm one of the few Fuzzies) and we have two or three siamese
breeders in the club. If they do not have litters available, they
can probably direct you to someone who does. Thursday I will post
directions to the show in note 687.

| Sandra,
Just took a second look at your requeswt and realized why you have
not seen anything on Blue Sealpoint Siamese. There is no such beast.
These are mutually exclusive colors. A Sealpoint is a genetically
black cat - in the pointed cats - Siamese, Oriental Shorthairs and
Himalayans - the color only shows up in the points - the ears, mask,
paws and tails. A Bluepoint is genetically a blue cat. The Gene
for black is "diluted" (less dense) to produce the blue color.
If the gene is black it can't be blue and vice-versa. Which do
you want a bluepoint or a sealpoint. In either case, the breeders
at Seacoast will be able to help you.
Note to Jo Ann: I know I left your Birmans out of my list of pointed
cats.

703.3 | | MIGHTY::WILLIAMS | Bryan Williams | Tue Aug 11 1987 18:32 | 14 |
| Several breeders will be at the show, among them Linda Gare (Cranston,
RI) who (whom?) we bought our kittens from, and Bobbi Beyer (Hudson, Ma).
There are several other breeders who will be there. If you get one
of the cats magazines, look in the breeder section.
I am partial to Linda's cats because they are SUPER affectionate.
Our kitten now will nuzzle us in the morning and lick our nose(s)
to get attention. of course, this can be a pain, too. She always
wants to be picked up and held, and always wants to "share" your
food. I think she thinks she is human.
If you want specific names of breeders, let us know.

| Bobbi Beyer's kittens are VERY affectionate also - most are shoulder
sitters and nuzzlers - Right Bryan?? If you are not careful, one
of them will nuzzle right into your pocket and you will be taking
a new kitty home uless you mutter "I don't need annudda cat right
now - I'm building a house." Kidding aside, Bobbie's kittens are
really pretty - I think she has a blue or two (Oriental). Let me
know if you would like her phone number or you can get it from the
yellow pages under pet shops listed under ChinaCat Cattery.

703.5 | Ok Ok, I was wrong! | MIGHTY::WILLIAMS | Bryan Williams | Wed Aug 12 1987 16:27 | 12 |
| Yes yes - they do sit on your shoulder and nuzzle, but you have
never seen nuzzleing until you are swarmed upon by about 20 cats
all wanting your attention!
Elaine is right, however. There are several in the area, and many
more just outside of the Southern NH area. It's just a matter of
where you want to go. The two I know of directly are great, those
being ChinaCat and LINRO (Linda Gare). It's just a matter of what
you want, where you want to go, and how much youwant to pay for
it.
