| Penelope,
I have a feeder with the little tiny nipples like you asked
about. It works real well for newborns. It is called the
Catac Standard feeder. I got mine from a pet supplier in
Nebraska called DoVon Pet Supplies. Run by Doug & Vicki
VonAswege phone number is 402-695-2450. I know they ship.
It might be available from some other supplier nearer to you.
The bottle is glass and is in a wide V shape with an open
top. You put the formula in the bottle and stop the top
with your thumb to control how fast the milk will flow.
The bottom of the V is flat so you can sit it down when not
in use. I was really impressed with how well it works. It
comes with three nipples and replacement nipples are available.
Hope this helps.

| THANKS A LOT!
I *thought* it might have been you (even said so to Cin earlier
today) but I wanted to be sure I got to the right person.
I'll be ordering REAL SOON.

| Are you in the Lexington MA area? Martha Krugger will probably
be at the TICA show at the Lexington National Guard Armory
June 20,21 - you could stock up then , if you can wait that
long. I have a nursing set from her, but it's packed in a
box "somewhere" in the storage room - I can't unpack until
I move for the 2nd time into the new house that isn't finished
yet! Let me know if - I can pick up some bottles for you
at the show. or send me mail - I have Martha's phone number
in my mail files - she will send you an order by mail - it
only takes a couple of days.

614.5 | Nursers arrived; *just the right shape* | GLINKA::GREENE | | Thu Jun 11 1987 14:05 | 21 |
| Many thanks for all the assistance. What would we do without FELINE
(and those zillion other useful notesfiles)?
The same day I entered my query, I placed a phone order and had
6 nursers sent overnight delivery! The nipples (each nurser comes
with 3) are just the right shape -- *narrow and very flexible* --
and they are ever-so-slightly different in length.
If anyone wants one, I would be happy to share my supply (my vet
is probably going to start stocking them along with the
standard_but_useless Borden "small animal bottle"). I guess
"small animal" must mean baby deer as opposed to baby elephant???
I wish I had had one when I had to supplement a tiny one-day old
kitten 3 weeks ago! Tricky finding something that would fit in
his mouth -- what I used was a 1/2 cc syringe, which was narrow
enough but too rigid to really suckle on.
Thanks again on behalf of B's 4-7,
Penelope
