| Dave,
What does the Tortie look like? You did say that there were 5 females,
didn't you?

| I'm not looking for another cat, I'm not looking for another cat,
I'm not.... (if I say it often enough ever _I_ will believe it!).
Okay, for those of us that don't know -- what does a blue/cream
look like? What part is blue and what part(s) is(are) cream? If
this means they look like a Russian Blue I may be in big trouble,
tell me it isn't so! 8^)
Where are you?

| Maybe I can answer some of these questions. A blue cream is a dilute
of a tortoiseshell. So where the tortoiseshell is black and orange,
the blue cream is grey and tan. The color can and does fall in
any pattern on the body. There is no set pattern of the colors,
they are all blended together.
Dave has 2 longhair blue creams and 1 shorthair blue cream. He
also has a tortoiseshell and a black. These are all females.
I think Dave is located in Texas but I'm not sure. If you are thinking
about getting one of these kittens don't let the location scare
you off. Cats can travel very comfortably on most airlines. A
little advance planning with ensure a smooth trip.

| Well, one of the kittens had a sex change and became a boy-kitty.
So the breakdown is
one blue-cream female with very definite midline marking, longhair.
Very rich blue coloring... good cream... most playful.
one blue-cream female with patchy markings, longhair
Very rich blue color, more red in the cream... largest (currently)
cream tip on tail
one blue-cream female, more brindled, shorthair
lighter blue color, small, cute face, cream tip on tail, very people
oriented.
one tortoiseshell, excellent brindling, female, shorthair
most adventuresome, first to do everything.
one black male, shorthair, some white hairs
has white tip on tail, friendliest towards everyone.
These kittens will be very people oriented, rather than cat oriented.
Stories will follow

| Dave,
What's a brindle?

| a brindle pattern, (comes from dog colors, actually) is a very
inter-mixed multicolor pattern. In torties, it means that the red
and black are not in large patches, but rather more mixed together.
Creates a very different look on the cat. We had a tortie smoke
for years and people either thought she was beautiful (most cat
people, all cat judges who saw her) or ugly.

| Well, it's time to catch you up on the kittens.
Naturally, they were flea ridden and dirty. That was easily taken
care of, but the discovery of ringworm wasn't as easy to get rid
of. (Ringworm is a fungus-like organism that lives in the 4-5th
layer of skin. Imagine a serious case of chickenpox for visual effect,
but not as serious in young kittens). Off to the vet and medication
time (which they hate, BTW).
Well, they have cleared up all of their ringworm, now our adults
have it. They have also gotten past the "eat everything in sight"
and are moving into the "extremely cute stage", and it's time for
them to move on to new homes. 3 of them will be travelling up to
Mass with me to new homes on May 3rd, one has been spoken for down
here. 4 down and 1 to go...
Most cats don't recognise names until the 14th week, so what we
call them doesn't matter to the owners, but we have them nicknamed
Screamer - sounds almost siamese, but definitely tenor.
Blackie
Pretty Girl - we try not to call her PG
Midline - for her midline seam
Tortie
Kittens are such great fun... I could go on for hours but my boss
probably wouldn't like it...

| In some circles it's a slang term for pregnant.
So while not necessarily derogatory, I don't want to tempt fate.

| The blue cream female without the midline seam (longhair). She
is the most adventuresome of them all.
