There must be a note that discusses dry food versus wet food but I can't see it. At the moment we only feed our cats wet-tinned-supermarket food, occasionally they get s few Cat Treats (dry ) which they love. We did once start feeding them dried food but one of our cats got ill - we didn't know if it was connected or not - and we decided to go back to wet food. The illness involved diarohea (Icant spell this !) and the edge of his inner eye lid showed all the time - the vet said he was dehydrated. Should we be feeding them wet and dry food? Is dry food good for their teeth and gums? If there is a note that covers all of this please point me at it. Thanks Ellen

According to most of the vets that I've talked to it is good to give them a mixture of both wet & dry food. Also it is good to give them a variety, not only varieties of the same brand of cat food but of many different brands. Also I have been advised to avoid generic type brands of cat food as the quality controls aren't that great. The dry food is very good for their teeth. It keeps them strong, short, and nice & white. I hope this helps. :-)Mr. Fejj |
