301.0. "STRAY CAT" by DVINCI::KKELLY () Thu Aug 07 1986 16:34
Hi. My name is Kathleen Kelly, and I'm hoping that this conference
will help me solve a problem. I live in a condominium in Marlboro,
and for the past two weeks there has been a stray cat has been
wandering around. I've been feeding her, and letting her out, etc.
The problem is that my roomate is allergic to cats, and I can't
keep her. She also needs medical attention, and I'm not in the
financial position to help her. I've been told it can be very costly.
Today I called Buddy dog, who referred me to the Marlboro dog officer,
who referred me to the MSPCA, who reffered me to a place in Sterling,
who reffered me to a place in Boston. All of these people gave
me different excuses, and I don't know what to do.
Someone told me of a woman who worked at a shelter in Framingham,
that was featured in an article in the Middlesex news a few weeks
ago. The Middlesex news gave me her number, and I've called but
there is no answer.
I don't know what to do, because she really needs medical
attention immediately. If anyone can help me find a home for her,
or a place that will take her that won't put her to sleep, please
contact me.
I don't know much about cats, but I'm told that she's a calico.
I'm estimating her age to be between 7 and 8 months.
I can be reached at DTN 297-7897, or via VAXMAIL on DVINCI::KKELLY,
or DECMAIL Kathy Kelly @MRO. I would really appreciate any help
you can give me.
....Kathy Kelly

301.1 | Northeast Animal Shelter, Salem, MA | NIMBUS::HARRISON | Chocoholic | Fri Aug 15 1986 09:57 | 5 |
| I got a kitten from a shelter in Salem, Mass. a few years ago.
Their policy is to never destroy an animal. I don't know if they'll
be able to help you, but it's the Northeast Animal Shelter.
Good luck
