291.1 | rnet them? | CADSYS::RICHARDSON | | Mon Jul 28 1986 13:53 | 2 |
| You can sometimes rent them from the airline, if you only need them
once it might pay to try that.

291.2 | Renting is possible... | NAAD::SERRA | Tom | Tue Jul 29 1986 14:20 | 8 |
| Believe it or not, U-Haul actually rents pet carriers! (Actually
they rent just about evrything now-adays...). If all you need them
for is one time, I would consider renting them. If you plan to buy
them, call some of the larger airlines (I got mine at United), they
have them (at least they used to) at reasonable prices (and you
know they are the approved type)!

291.3 | tidbits of advice | INANNA::DEROSA | Obviously, a major malfunction. | Thu Aug 14 1986 13:18 | 8 |
| You will need one per animal these days. Some recent Federal
regulation re: no more than one cat or dog per kennel.
Also, airlines have rules re: the maximum number of pets checked in as
baggage per person. Delta for example says 2/person. Any above that
figure must be shipped by air freight or "dash" or whatever, which
means that they are in the same cargo compartment as your baggage pets,
probably right alongside in fact, for 4x (or more) the price.

291.4 | I need a carrier now | PUZZLE::CORDESJA | | Tue Dec 30 1986 19:29 | 5 |
| Does anyone have a second hand under-the -airplane-seat carrier
for sale? We are in need of two of them. My sister and I would
like one before January the 24th. Send mail or answer here
Thanks
