273.0. "CORN?" by MILRAT::SPILLER () Sun Jul 06 1986 08:49

AT LEAST TWO OF OUR CATS LOVE CORN ON THE COB. ESPECIALLY ONE
FIVE YEAR OLD NEUTERED FEMALE "MISSY". EVERY TIME WE BOIL THE
CORN, SHE SITS AND WAITS FOR HER SHARE. USUALLY WE'LL GIVE HER
THE ONES WE HAVE WORKED ON FOR A WHILE.........WITH A LITTLE
LEFT. SHE WOULD RATHER EAT CORN THAN TUNA!

My siamese Kismet also loves corn. She's usually pretty well
mannered...but when there is corn on the cob around you've got to
watch out...that little bandit's face may peer over the tabletop
and its surprising how quickly that little paw can hook an ear
    of corn.

Strangely enough...corn off the cob doesn't seem to hold the same
    charm!

my kitty 'tasha loves to chew on the cob after i've finished it.
she treats it like a dead bird -- grabs it with her teeth and
    trots off...

A little late for this topic, but
I first noticed both my kitties love
    corn-on-the-cob. They like to
tear it to shreads. If I let them
get away with it, I have a huge mess
when they are finally done. I thought
this was strange until I saw this topic.
(whew! What a releif that I still have
    normal cats!!!)
