253.0. "Harriet Needs A Home" by STAR::WALKER () Tue May 20 1986 19:18

    For Adoption:	Harriet

Harriet was abandoned in Massachusetts sometime in March. She was
found in an empty apartment on Easter Sunday, just as her four babies
were being born. When I heard about them, they were all about to
be taken to be put to sleep. Anyway, they've been at my house in
NH since the kittens were three days old, and I have found good
homes for all of the kittens. (They're all going home this weekend,
except the one we've decided to keep, although I "definitely wasn't
going to keep one!"). Harriet now needs a home.

I brought her to the vet the day she arrived, and she was given
all of her shots, and a clean bill of health. She has an appointment
to be spayed in a week, which I will pay for. She is very gentle,
and exceptional with children. She would make an ideal nursing
home cat, because she is tolerant, and loves affection. She is
tri-colored, (white with orange and tiger), shorthaired, well-mannered,
and has yellow eyes. The vet said that she is about 2-3 years old.
I would like her placed in a home where she will be kept indoors
all the time. She does not care for dogs or cats, but is fine with
caged animals. (I have a large rabbit in a cage, and they sniff each
other often without any problems. When my dog is in her cage, they
are fine. When the dog is loose, Harriet becomes very upset. I do
not think it would be something she would adjust to either).

She really is an exceptional cat. If you are (or know of anyone)
looking for a true companion, you should consider Harriet.
I'd keep her myself, but she would not adjust to my dog and two
    other cats.

You're welcome to come meet her - I live in Milford, NH.

    Thank you,
    Lisa Walker

Harriet is still available!!!! She is very anxious to go to a new
family. Since I cannot keep her with my other animals, she is lacking
the affection and attention she deserves. She's REALLY a super
cat. If you are interested, or know of anyone who might be, please
let me know. I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

    Thanks,
    Lisa Walker
