Note 133.0 CATS & DOGS television show 8 replies
CONDOR::REILLEY 15 lines 20-JAN-1986 10:01
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Starting Feb. 1, Channel 2 [ WGBH (PBS) Boston ] will air CATS & DOGS,
a half-hour, 26-part series to be hosted by veterinarian Anita Migday,
owner of the Slade Veterinary Hospital in Framingham [Mass] and medical
adviser for the Mt Ida College Veterinary Technician Program in Newton.
The show focuses on pet care and plans to explore the relationships
between people and their pets. CATS & DOGS will offer tips and techniques
for pet owners, visits with patients and their owners and trips around
the country to visit with unusual pets and their owners. The programs
will be broadcast at 7:30 p.m. Saturdays.
[ Note: Since Ch 2 is a PBS station, chances are good your own local
PBS station may also carry the show sometime this year. ]

I watched the pilot episode of CATS & DOGS and I thought it was very
good. Dr. Migday explained a lot of things in a very friendly, easy
to understand manner. She did not "talk down" to the viewers as a
lot of vets I've known.

Did anyone happen to catch Home Videos on Sunday? They had quite a few
vidoes on cats that were a riot. There was one that was very
discusting though (at least in my opinion).
I LOVE cats, but this was too much.
This women asked her cat where his Tuna sandwich was. Then she said
"Oh, here it is in Mommy's mouth". She then opened her mouth and the
cat stuck his head half way down her throat and chowed down. I mean
come on. That was SICK!

Pam, I agree. It takes a lot to make me cringe and that did it.
It WAS disgusting. I share everything with Bailey, but come on...

I agree also. No wonder sometimes people think cat owners are crazy.
That show could have done very well without that one segment.

Gee, I thought the guy playing the harmonica with his nose was much
more disgusting than the cat in the mouth....

Gee, I guess I don't feel so bad about missing that show.
Speaking of TV shows - Infinite Voyage is on tonight on Channel
2 at 8:00. Its about our internal clock and should be very
interesting.

Nancy,
Is that about "our" internal clock or the one our feline friends go by
when we want an extra hour of sleep in the morning? ;-)
