There recently was a special awards banquet held at the Buckhead Ritz-Carlton 
Hotel here in Atlanta honoring two cats that recently won in the Atlanta 
Phoneix Cat Show held at a local school:

"Oh hail to the winners, and to alergy sufferers everywhere.  Morris the Cat 
you may be more famous, but your name is only half as long."

First in the top kitten catagory, a five month old Russian Blue feline named
'Nordic Silver Chalice of Czar-Rista'.  As you might expect, she is not likely
to respond to the command "Here kitty, kitty..."

Owner of 'Nordic Chalice...', Frances Cobb:  "You will find very few Russian 
Blue's with a very light color that she has.  All the judges that have seen her
say she's like a silver glow."

And in the top cat category weighing in at slightly over 10 pounds, a red and
white persian beauty named 'Rambo's Rocky Mountain Sunrise'.  In part named 
because he belongs to Mr. and Mrs. Rambo.  

The Fancy Feast folks put on a champagne reception for these cats complete with
kitty ice sculpture, flower arrangements, and romantic music.

Owner of 'Rambo's Rocky...', Jim Rambo:  "Well, he's a very laid back, easy
going cat, and uh, he's usually extremely calm.  This uh, the violins seem to
upset him a little bit, but still, I think he took it rather well."

Yeah, this is only the beginning for 'Rocky'.  That's because he's the odds on 
favorite to become 'Cat of the Year', as voted on by the Cat Fanciers 
Association.
