| Hi Robin. I don't know what it could be, but I might think it was
a lingering cold or an alergy. I would take Babykitty to the Vet's
and have it looked into to be on the safe side and to put my mind
at ease.
P.S. I like his name!

| Yes definately take Babykitty to the vets! Going on for 5 months!
Why in heavens name haven't you at least called the vet? Our vets
are the experts, use them, and not this notes file, as your primary
source of information.

| I can uderstand why he did get hot under the collar. There are a couple
of nasty cat diseases that do have nasal discharge as a major symptom.
My rule of thumb is if it looks really nasty take them today. (Unless
it's a weekend in which case I check my cat vet book to see if I should take
him to the emergency clinic and if not I wait til Monday. If it's something
small like a runny nose, I might give it a dat to clear up but in most cases,
I take'em in that day anyway. Even a cold can make your cat miserable.)
Please do take Babykitty to the vet soon.

| Like I said, he acts fine, hes really active, hasn't let up on the
chow, and is a general pain to my other cat (Oh, Sammy isn't looking
lets run up and jump on his head type of thing)

| DO GET BABYKITTY TO THE VET RIGHT AWAY... HOW ARE THE INSIDES OF
HIS EARS LOOKING? IF THEY ARE CLEAN, HE MAY JUST HAVE AN ALLERGY,
MAYBE HE'S ALLERGIC TO SAMMY...WHICH IS WHY HE ATTACKS HIM ALL
THE TIME.

| A COUPLE OF QUICK THINGS...
AS A BREEDER OF MAINE COONS AND ABYSSINIANS FOR SEVERAL YEARS, I ECHO THE
SENTIMENT TO GET BABYKITTY TO THE VET. THERE ARE FOUR PRINCIPAL RESPIRATORY
INFECTIONS THAT CAN BE HAZARDOUS TO A CAT'S (AND OTHER CAT'S HEALTH), NOT
TO MENTION THE MULTITUDE OF VIRAL INFECTIONS. IN GENERAL, A CATS HEALTH
IS REFLECTED IN THE RESPIRATORY TRACT AND EYES AND COAT. YOUR CAT MAY BE
HEALTHY IN HIS OWN RIGHT, BUT A CARRIER OF SOMETHING THAT COULD THREATEN
THE REST OF YOUR FELINE POPULATION. IT COULD BE A SIMPLE ALLERGY, AND IN
SOME WAYS SOUNDS LIKE IT. PLEASE LET US KNOW THE OUTCOME.

| I agree with all the responses. Get Babykitty to the
vet's as soon as possible.I think it's funny the name you chose.
That is what my wife calls our cats. except she just calls
them baby and then their name which is
Baby Norman(after her father and Baby Pearl(after her mother).
Good luck. let us know what the outcome is.
Thanks alot,
Tim

| It's been a month now since Robin put her note here.
The tone of her response to everyone's advice to get
Babykitty to the vet's seemed to indicate that she
was reluctant to do so. Since so much time has elapsed without
an update from her, it seems she may have decided to ignore the
advice given.
Robin, are you out there? Did you take Babykitty to the vet's?
If so, what was the outcome?

| Babykitty is going this monday... To be fixed, front declawed, and
to find out if I should have named him "sneezy" instead of babykitty

I don't remember now what the Vet said... Babykitty
(now called "B") isn't sneezing anymore...And Sammy
my Maine Coon cat taught him how to "talk"

| Our cat, Chewy, was sneezing constantly for about 2 days. I was about
to take her to the vet, thinking that she had a cold. My husband told
me (in a grossed out tone), that he went to put this black thing, that
was barely hanging out of her nose (with a tissue of course). What he
pulled out ended up being a 6 inch piece of grass. Poor Chewy. She
must have been trying so hard to get it out. Sneezing didn't help.
No more sneezes.
Pam, Chewy, Zula and Ziggy too. ^ ^
