This is X25 SVC connection problem.
Only 26 SVC's(Switched Virtual Circuits) can connect to VAX PSI access system
via X25gateway (DEMSA), and the other SVCs(more than 26 SVCs) is failing with 
CALL CLEAR.
In other words, The most SVCs which could be opened between an X25 simulation 
program on VAX PSI access system and an application program on UNIX machine is 
26.
The outgoing list (channel range) of X25gateway is 50, so only 26 SVCs can
connect to VAX system and the other 24 SVCs is failing with CALL CLEAR.
Cause code is 0, and Diagnostic code is 0 in CTF.
Available outgoing list is always 24 In NCL command
( ncl> show x25 prot dte dte-1 all ) when only 26 calls are connected.
 
Followings are action done so far, but nothing is changed.

. Increased CHANNELCNT, NPAGEDYN, NPAGEVIR
. Increased NSP max remote NSAP, NSP transport connection
. Checked max circuit of X25 SERVER, it was 512. 

Their environment is as follows;

	Open VMS/VAX V6.1
	DECnet/OSI V6.2 plus ECO4
	X25gateway V1.0 (X25$GWY010_128)

Use CTF to trace on the VAX, on the Gateway and on the Unix host to isolate
which of the three is clearing the call.

Check the OPCOM logs on the VAX (and have the Gateway direct its events to the
VAX too) and check those to see why the calls are being cleared.

OPCOM logs, CTF Traces and NCL scripts are attached.

OPCOM error is 'incoming call fail' and the reason is 'No Matching Filters',
but I don't think the problem is in filters because 26 SVCs are opened
without any problems, they are using same filter.

DTE address is 6789012345 but failing SVCs are always calling some different
DTE address like that 678901234406, 678901234407, 678901234409, 678901234410,
546000000000 and 000000000000. 
Whenever some SVCs are failing these 6 address are always called,
but 26 SVCs which has no problem are always calling correct DTE address,
6789012345, you can see this in Traces and OPCOM messages.

Please check attached files and let me know what is wrong.

The first rejected call is for DTE address 678901234406. A quick check shows
that the only possible matching filter might have been CLIENT_0-1 but that
specifies a receiving DTE address of 6789012345, which does not match.

So you get the message indicating that there are no matching filters because
there *are* no matching filters!

The working calls are calling the correct addresses, the failing calls are
calling incorrect addresses.

The solution seems fairly clear to me :-)

The UNIX machine is directly connected to DEMSA port via MODEM,
and the caller(application program on UNIX machine) does not use
any DTE address.
I don't know where these 6 incorrect DTE addresses come from.
The 6 incorrect DTE addresses are always as follow;

Are there no action required in VAX side ?

If none of those are specified in any of the filters (and I don't think they are
but I haven't gone back to your config to check for sure) then these calls will
be rejected.

You need to properly define the problem statement.

If the problem is that all calls with the above addresses fail, then the answer
is that the customer's config is setup to make those calls fail. If he has some
reason for letting those calls in, then he should change his config.

If the problem is that once he has 26 SVCs up and running, ,another call comes
in *on an address that should work*, then there may be a real problem. So far
there is no evidence of that at all.

You need to go back to the customer and find out what the real problem is.
