Hi, Sorry for this old problem, but i search information to resolve this. When i send via the vaxmail command : MAIL> send /for APPLILOOP_N3.EXE To: psi%193201473::pcx Subj: "APPLILOOP_N3.EXE" %MAIL-E-SENDERR, error sending to user PCX at 193201473 %MAIL-E-READERR, error reading -RMS-W-RTB, 512 byte record too large for user's buffer The psi node that receive the executable file is an OpenVMS My system run OpenVMS V5.5-2 and PSI Access V4.3 It is very important to support our client for DEC SS7 product. Firstly both the sending and receiving nodes should be running at least PSI V4.3A - PSI V4.3 and earlier have problems with hangs in MAIL. Does the PCX account at the far end have any form of forwarding enabled? If so, this won't work: it's a restriction in VMS MAIL. To check try sending to psi%193201473::_PCX (note the underscore). This inhibits the forwarding, If this works then that is your problem. You will have to find a workaround (perhaps a batch job periodically reading the mail and sending it on, perhaps someone logging on and manually forwarding the mail?). Antonio | |||||

Thanks for your information, I test sending mail with underscore and it passed, i call the customer to see if it has been receive correctly the exec files. Michel |
