1652.0. "Example database for help desk?" by AXEL::FOLEY (http://axel.zko.dec.com) Fri Apr 11 1997 17:20

Has anyone created a MS Access database for tracking
	"help desk" type functions?

Mike,
I remember playing with a shareware program called
"PR-Tracker". As I recall,
it was a Visual Basic application that used
an MS Access database as it's data store. I guess
this isn't exactly what you want though, because
the application itself isn't in Access. (unfortunately).

RE: .1

	Plus, that's a shareware item.

Does anyone have the old Access Solution Pack databases
around? I used to have them but can't find them anywhere.
I think there was a database in there for doing something
	like this.

I plan to use the Publish to the Web interface to provide
	access to the database.

    Mike -

I'm not sure if this is what you are after but I copied the
SOLUTION.MDB that come in the Samples directory of each version of
Access to a public directory (if I did it correctly) on my PC. Try to
    look in \\YOYOMA\KITS\SOLN\ for SOLNv*.MDB.

    Hope that helps...

RE: .3

Thanks Jeff. I've copied those databases, but unfortunately,
they aren't what I was looking for. The Solutions Pack
was a bunch of read-to-run databases.

thanks tho! Your stuff will come in handy.
