5568.0. "UCX$PWIP_ACP crash on one node in cluster" by VDEV01::MAEHNER () Fri Jun 06 1997 09:54
Hi,
at a customer site, we run UCX 4.1 (ECO 2) on a OpenVMS 6.2-1H2 system. On
one of the nodes the ucx$pwip_acp crashes with a gethostbyname error, while
the other node runs fine. (Even when I try to start pwip_acp later it'll
crash.)
Both systems have an identical configuration. What can cause the gethostbyname
to fail? Does it access the hosts.dat, or where des it get its information from?
Any help is appreciated!
Regards,
Herbert

5568.1 | Check UCX$INET* Logicals | VMSNET::P_NUNEZ | | Fri Jun 06 1997 10:06 | 7 |

Until a PWIP expert jumps in here, take a look at the UCX$INET*
logicals and output from $ UCX SHOW HOST <hostname> of both hosts
_on both systems_ and see if you notice a difference...
