Can I change NFS to use Tcp as a protocol instead of udp? I tried and it does not seem to let me. On VMS 6.2 Ucx 4.0 Thanks Alan

Well while I'm asking, the reason we wanted to change it is that we are having trouble getting file copies to work from an external unix system through a Altavista firewall to a VMS NFS mount point. We can do a directory and copy very small files but nothing of any size. The process just hangs and if looked at from a sniffer is continually sending retransmits after about the first 4000kb. We decided to try FTP through the firewall and it all works just fine???? Thanks Alan |
