hp laserjet printer 4mplus on jetdirect card .
user setup ucx$telnetsym queue , and user wants to suppress blank page
$ define/system ucx$telnetsym_suppress_formfeeds = "YES"
DOES NOT HELP.
$ DEFINE/SYSTEM UCX$TELNETSYM_SUPPRESS_FORMFEEDS "35"
and this seem to cure the problem, But after a week or so,
the problem comes back again with the blank page for each job it
prints. Now if the queue is $ stop/que/reset and start/que
then it cure the blank page problem and stay one the next time
it happens again, and user ensure me the logical name is always
on the system ...
This has really puzzled me , it the logical name is defined ,
why the blank page will come again, would the bit set for the
value of "35" been changed after period of time ??
I have asked user to upg to ucx v4.1 and see if this cure the problem.

Hi,
my customer is running 4.1, and still have this problem...
What I have not tried out, is to define the logical to "35".
What does this mean ??
What is the status of this BLANK PAGE problem?
Is it any path needed, or is it as setup issue?
Thanks for any information.
(My customer is using $3000 a year in blank pages, and will have
this fixed ASAP !)
