Customer wants to export a floppy disk on ucx server to unix client. Floppy disk is device dva0: UCX> map "/vmsdsk" dva0: error processing map request device not ready, not mounted or unavailable. So, the question is, is it possible to export a floppy disk?

FYI..... The answer is, apparently, yes you can export a floppy IF you first initialize the drive and mount in inside vms before you try to map it and export it. $ init dva0: label $ mount dva0: label ucx> map..... Glenn | |||||

The disk must be mounted as a /SYSTEM volume. |
