Can you determine the subnet and broadcast masks from program
control?  If so, how?

I have just submitted a suggestion spr asking that this capability be
added.  Or, if it's already available, to update the documentation.

    Actually, there is a way to do it, but we don't ship the appropriate
    header files for you to be able to do this in your own home.
