5479.0. "Can POP3 copy mail w/o deleting it from mailbox ?" by CIVPR1::SIMMONS (Mike Simmons (301) 918-5597) Thu May 01 1997 07:39

I've installed the POP3 server on our VAX in the office, and I've configured
the Internet Mail service under Exchange to use my VMS account and password to
receive my VMS mail in Exchange. I receive my VMS mail in Exchange without any
problems. However, the mail is no longer available from VMS. Is there a way
to configure VMS Mail/POP3/Exchange so Exchange gets a copy, but it is not
deleted from the VMS mailbox?

RE: 5479.0 by CIVPR1::SIMMONS
	Hi Mike,

Have a look to Note 5463.0 24-APR-1997, which discusses this subject.
     -< Mails aren't deleted on POP Server >-

==>  $ Show Logical /Sys UCX$POP_purge_reclaim

     should be the key logical.

Also, look at UCX$POP_LEAVE_IN_NEWMAIL, available since UCX V4.1 PAT8;
     (described in PAT8 Release-Notes).

Regards,
Pierre-Etienne
