5373.0. "UCX$INET_ACP loops with two aliases" by RULLE::KLASSON (Sven-Olof Klasson @GOO) Sun Mar 23 1997 15:12
A customer is seeing a problem with UCX 4.1-2 on Alpha were the UCX$INET_ACP
process starts to loop.
Configuration:
A cluster with two AXP2100. The systems has both ethernet and fddi interfaces.
They do manually set up the cluster aliases after boot. One on the ethernet
interface, and on the fddi. This means one system can have four IP addresses.
The reason they manually set up the aliases is that they are running a
application that can't run on multiple nodes in a cluster. Therefore they
manually sets the aliases on the node were they start the application.
The UCX$INET_ACP has started to loop when the UCX SET INTERFACE WF0/CLUSTER=...
has been issued.
Is it a supported configuration to have two aliases (one for ethernet, on for
fddi) on the same system?
Thanks,
Sven-Olof
