5220.0. "RSH from CDE/UNIX for DEC Notes" by MBALDY::LANGSTON (graphic depictions of extreme behavior) Thu Feb 13 1997 10:32

I was using a created action from CDE on a UNIX 4.0A system to run
DECnotes on an OpenVMS system and display back to the UNIX workstation.

The definition of the created action looks like this:
    rsh mbaldy -n "run dka0:[sys0.syscommon.syslib]xnotes"

It used to work fine; not no more. From a user, bruce, on the UNIX
system to the VMS system with a user, BRUCE, defined, I double click on
the defined action's icon and get the following VMS console messages:

    %%%%%%%%%%% OPCOM 13-FEB-1997 10:12:55.37 %%%%%%%%%%%
Message from user INTERnet on MBALDY
INTERnet ACP RSH Connection Request from Host: 16.85.96.221 Port: 1023

    %%%%%%%%%%% OPCOM 13-FEB-1997 10:12:55.56 %%%%%%%%%%%
Message from user INTERnet on MBALDY
INTERnet ACP RSH Reject Request from Host: 16.85.80.135 Port: 1021

The UCX proxy definitions are as follows:

    $ ucx sho proxy

    VMS User_name Type User_ID Group_ID Host_name

BRUCE CD BRUCE THEATL, theatl, mbaldy
    LANGSTON CD BRUCE THEATL.ALF.DEC.COM

I also have a file at SCRATCH$1:[BRUCE].RHOSTS;2 that looks like this:
    theatl.alf.dec.com bruce

    Other info:
    Image Identification Information

                    image name: "RSHCLIENT"
                    image file identification: "UCX V4.0-10"
                    link date/time: 8-NOV-1995 19:13:02.72

    OpenVMS version is 6.2.

This used to work. I won't bother saying I didn't change anything.
    Any ideas?

    Thanks,

    Bruce
