What was the value for Device Sockets (in SHOW COMM) ? Don't forget that the
services value _cannot_ be larger than the number of Device Sockets on the
running system and if you (or the startup) try to set it that way you will get
the error you document.

    That's it, the device sockets value was 300, raising that one to 550 
    allowed me to put the number services to 500, and UCX did not complain
    anymore at startup.
