4794.0. "V3.1 install via PCSI fails" by CSC64::HENNING (A rose with no thorns) Tue May 20 1997 16:38
Hi All,
A customer reports some rather strange errors from an attempt to
install DECdocument V3.1 on a system running OpenVMS VAX V6.2. I'm at
a loss to explain the failure. Can you help?
The customer had copied the .PCSI kit from the March97 Software Product
Library ([DOC031.KIT]). Other than that, the installation command was
identical to that found in the IGUIDE. As this the first time that
DECdocument was installed on the system, no DOC$* logicals were
defined.
Thanks in advance,
Mary

Try an ANALYZE/DISK/REPAIR on the target disk, and see if there is
anything in that [.TEMP] directory, or in [SYSLOST], when you get
done.
