4791.0. "HTML and SW.SPEC support" by UTRTSC::ELS () Mon Apr 21 1997 05:33

    Hello,

I have a question about HTML support by DOCUMENT.

Currently my customer uses VAX DOCUMENT (on alpha) version 3.1.
The manual states that currently HTML is only supported for the
    SOFTWARE.REFERENCE design type.
Their documentation is written using the SOFTWARE.SPECIFICATION.
    My question is:

When will SOFTWARE.SPECIFICATION be completely supported by DOCUMENTs HTML?

    Many thanks in advance,

I had a meeting this morning with Touch Technologies, and I shared your
question with them. This design type is not currently included in their
immediate plans for DECdocument, but they agreed to take it into
consideration and get back to me in a couple of weeks with a position
    statement.

    Regards,
    Lynne

    Lynne,

Thanks very much for your action. Will you let me know in a few weeks
    time what their statement is?

    regards,
    Els

    Els,
I'll send you an e-mail when I get the statement, and I'll post the
    information here as well.

Touch Technologies will consider HTML support for the SW.SPEC, but they
have asked if anyone has a rather large, complex .SDML file that uses
this spec that they could use as a benchmark.

    Lynne
