I am considering using DDD to perform replication transfers to a remote database, and I am trying to establish the network capacity required. In order to calculate the volume of data which DDD will send, is it sufficient to estimate the size of the complete Rdb tables for the initial transfer, and the volume of changes for subsequent transfers, or are there additional factors that have to be included for DDD? Are there any minimum network requirements? Thanks in advance Lesley Fagg

Lesley, I think what you said is a good approximation. It's surprising that in the ten years this product has been in existence, you are the first person to my knowledge to ask that question! You should probably add some for message overhead to/from Rdb. Perhaps the Rdb folks have a feel for this. I don't happen to know the answer. Claude |
