Actually 30K seems rather high. Remember, most people don't work in
the industry in which we work and in the geograpphy's where we work. I
think we have an unrealistically high expectation of salaries.

Well, I'm 26, lost my virginity at 16, won't comment on the sex per
month :), make under 30K per year, and was married at age 20. I guess

I'm definately odd then
Lost my V at 23, married the same woman at 25, have only had it 4 times
in the last 6 months, and drink at least 11 beers a week, that's
European strength beer not the Coyote pee referred to earlier.
But then we have combined income of around $80K, so maybe there's an
advantage to be practically celibate.

I don't think the calculation for a female's income is as simple
as household's - man's averages. A household could be just a
woman, whose income would therefore be under "household".
I'm almost positive it is lower than the man's average, but I
don't know how much lower.

I dunno, but I think it's related to the fact that 90% of people who
take the elevator rather than the stairs (and aren't obviously impaired
or carrying/dragging/pushing something) are women. Mebbe men figure the
exercise they get by taking the stairs rather than the elevator
entitles them to splurge? :-)
Or maybe it's because 90% of the people who eat "in" are men.
