575.0. "fresh air is important in maintaining health" by POLAR::WILSONC (born to agitate) Sun Nov 05 1995 22:40

Can an individual benefit from adopting some TQM strategy principles,
and using them in one's daily routine/life?

If so what are some things you do in your own life that could fall
under the umbrella of TQM principles?

For instance, I was walking home this morning along my usual route.
Since winter is on our doorstewp here in Ottawa finding the warmest
route home from work (ie. the route that is least windy, the route with
the most sun exposure) is becoming important.

Every different route I take I consider a "learning cycle" and the more
learning cycles I go through the more succesful I will be in my search
for the warmest route home. One route may offer more wind protection,
while another offers warmer sun exposure. Combining routes depends on
how thoroughly I know all the routes. Charting or mapping each route in
my mind helps me pinpoint the salient features of each route.

You know, stuff like that. Or am I wrong is this not a little bit like
    the way TQM strategies work?

Chris has a point, but I think it's the other way around: Life came
first, and THEN someone based TQM on life.

Get yourself an automobile, Chris - then you only need to worry about which
route has the most interesting pedestrians.

Kind of maroonish red in color, real deep looking paint job. The color
prolly has some ahtsty fahtsy name for it, but I sure don't know it.
Got to see if a dude or a babe owns it, if it's a babe I'll see if I
    can't charm her into a ride. (ooh-er)

Yep... it tried to do that a couple of weeks ago...

Was out in Western Mass, scouting out hunting areas and was told to
take "that dirt road over to the left"...

Started out fine.... then after awhile, it turned into a skidder
    road...

Then... gradually, it took on the characteristics of a washed out
    stream bed...

After that.. well it was just plain old scree...

a 1970 vette would have a 454, and one huge holley on it. No
427, no dual quads... but it would still be a convertiballs.
