Who really cares?? Why would you waste disk space storing this
crap for posterity? Why would you waste network bandwidth by sending
this crap to every noter who happens upon this topic? Why would you
waste the time of every noter that hits this note, since clearly
NOBODY GIVES A CRAP what you had for breakfast?

If you don't have something to say of political or social interest
JUST DON'T SAY IT. Why is this so hard to understand? What compels
you to say WRITE at the NOTES> prompt? Can't you just do some work,
or tidy your office, or just go home? Must we ALL be subjected to
YOUR boredom?

I sincerely hope you get a life.

Don't worry.. remember the 'Survival of the fittest' theory? It
applies everywhere, in all walks of life.. even for a base note..!

If it doesn't appeal to the noters.. it will have a premature death..
Noters are as conscious as you are and will ignore anything worth not discussing
In fact these topics serve as a reminder to other itchy finger noters to
think twice before doing a WRITE..

Having said that...!

After dropping Erik off at school and returning home to drop off the
car and catch my train, I was running late so gave up and took an hour
out of the morning to catch the next train. Gave me time to cook
breakfast. I sauteed some mushrooms with some smoked turkey, set that
aside. Pan-fried a left-over baked russett; scrambled two eggs and
chopped them up with the potato, mushroom and turkey. Had heated some
green chile sauce on the side, added that just to get it all moist and
suitable for a burrito. Actually had too much, put some in the fridge
for future quick burrito fixin's. Put a tortilla in the skillet,
flipped it a few times, added some cream cheese and the filling, rolled
a burrito and let it melt for a few minutes in the still-warm skillet.

Wrapped it in waxed paper and foil and caught my train- it was delicious
and the envy of everyone in the car.

    RE .70
While I was riding my bike to work this afternoon I happened to think
about the verbal abuse I littered upon our friend Mr. Harney. It was, I
realized, a product of the physical and mental changes being forced
upon me by the coming winter. The storm that blew through here this
weekend ripped a good chunk of of leaves off the trees. All of a sudden
we are into deep autumn. Days are shorter and the cool air bites at
    ones extremities.

I am responding to these changes in a number of ways. I am eating more.
Hence my preoccupation with food and rituals associated with the
preperation and consumption of it. In my mind I am recalling stories of
last winter. I have had mild hallucinations, ie. seeing snow on the
ground when there is none. I feel as if I have to leave. I like to
think that this feeling has its home in some obscure gene configuration
that inhabited the early hunter and gatherer.

Mr. Topaz, your insight was remarkable. Treat yourself to some cookies
    and milk.

I think the reason I laughed so hard at what Deb said is
I subconsciously remembered when my old band "Network" was
having auditions to replace our female lead singer. We
had a song called "Sister Secret" which was about a
nun the former singer had known while growing up in a
convent school in Bolivia. Picture a song that a Suzanne
Vega or Natalie Merchant would sing... delicate; full
    of complex emotion; feminine.

We were cycling through the auditions at a pretty good
clip. Each audition was recorded and videotaped so
we could review them later. Well.... this one woman (name
long ago forgotten) came in. Her credentials were that
she sang in what is known as a "GB" (General Business)
band... wedding schlock and the like. As soon as she
told me that, the alarm bells started to ring. But
when she launched into her Mermenesque interpretation
of "Sister Secret", it was all we could do to keep from
falling out of our chairs laughing. I still have that
videotape somewhere... I'm gonna dig that out and
keep it for when I really need a good laugh. Needless
to say, she did not get the gig.

2 cups of tea
1/2 English muffin with plum jam, 1/2 English muffin with vegemite.

My kid is quite partial to croissants with vegemite. So *there* M. Chirac!

Philistine!

OK, vegemite looks like shoe polish, tastes salty, and smells a bit odd.
We like it :^), especially when compared against other "child-foods". Why do
grandmothers experiment so much on their grandchildren? I *still* have
horrible memories of lamb-brains (and having my hair washed with a raw egg -
and picking the shell out days after - eeuuughh)

Try the Norco natural vanilla with macadamia nuts & a bit of Milo sprinkled on
top (or malt if you're not a choc person)

For anyone that might travel to Sydney in the future:

There is a wonderful Austrian (yes, not Australian) Cafe called Una's
that is situated on Victoria Street, Darlinghurst. They make the most
wonderful breakfast and it's very cheap (for it's size!!) at $6.50(aussie)
A very friendly atmosphere with wonderful Austrian hospitality. All round
    a clean and pleasant environment.
