519.31 | | RUSURE::GOODWIN | | Wed Aug 16 1995 10:26 | 18 |
| The way it works is this:
There are 3 kinds of electrons: red, blue, and green. When you buy a
TV, the picture tube is loaded right up with them, and they fire 'em at
the screen to make the nice colors. In years past there only used to
be two kinds of electrons: black and white. Then a man named Kodacolor
discovered the others.
Anyhow, eventually the electrons get used up, and you have to get a
rebuilt tube or just buy a new set. When they rebuild a picture tube,
the cut the neck off, shake out all the used electrons (nowadays they
recycle them by pouring them back into a special electric outlet which,
being AC and very powerful, rejuvenates them within a few hours.
Then they fill the picture tube with fresh electrons and seal it back
up, and there you go. Where they get the fresh electrons is a deep
dark trade secret -- it's how they make their profit.

Actually, the "tell that to the breweries" was more in reference to the
taste than the manufacturing processes, but the breweries for the
masses (at least in the UK) do use a lot of powdered additives like DME
to make up the wort.
Moose Piss? Is that brewed under the 'orsepisses of the Moose Head
label?
