The gunman managed to escape. Police has not yet been able to identify
who in what organization he belongs to.

According to the investigation so far, the gunman fired 5 times at him
from a distance of at least 25 meters during a short moment he was walking.
Three or four hit him, while no bullets hit his secretary standing neaby.
The gun used may probably be the type of .38 caliber Colt revolver (magnum
cartridges) based on info from witnesses and the barrel marks.
They (investors or experts) believe that the hitman was extremely skilled,
because of the strong kick and the distance.
Is it really difficult thing to do (under the above condition)?
How long does it take to get such training done?
Just curious,

Probably commonly referred to as the .357 magnum. a decent handgun for
use up to 100 yards.(50 is probably the maximum for most shooters)

Not if he only hit him 3 or 4 out of 5. :-} A man at 25 meters should be
5 for 5 unless the gun had extremely poor sights or short barrel.
>Is it really difficult thing to do (under the above condition)?
>How long does it take to get such training done?
Not difficult.
A good instructor could have a novice shooting that well with 5-10 hours of
practise.

News said the gun had long barrel. The bullets had longer in size and
more powder in it than usual, and several "pre-cuts" at its point. You
know what this means.. It was raining, early morning, fewer witnesses.
Clever guy and enough preparation in advance. Perhaps first time this
type of weapon was used in Japan. The man shot survived, though had
intensive long hour surgery.
BTW, yesterday's news on the radio, that's 3 out of 4. The paper I read
was wrong, perhaps.
